Come and Visit Us – Om Yoga Show London 21-23 October 2016

Hello there, well it’s been a VERY busy summer and I wanted to write an update for you to hear a bit more about what has been happening on the UK side of GWLPT!

Firstly, I wanted to share that the White Lion Trust will have a stand at the Om Yoga London Show between October 21-23rd.  We are there to share news of our work and to connect with new and old alike to talk about the White Lions, Linda Tucker and to share the incredible art and gifts of our shop – all in time for Christmas gifts!  So if you would like to come and see us there please do take a look at their website for all the details HERE we would love to see you there!  We are partnering with our donors from Conscious Chocolate too who have kindly donated on each sale of their divinely healthy and delicious Lions Raw chocolate bar – which they specially created for the trust!  We are really looking forward to working with them at the event and to celebrating our partnership, helping the White Lions.  You will find us at stand K5 and Conscious Chocolate just around the corner at J6.

Back in June, I took a group out to South Africa on retreat at the White Lion Conservancy and in my case I packed the 50 plus White Lion Finger Puppets!  We had the most incredible experience with the White Lions, Linda and Jason and also visiting Kruger National Park.  The group was a fantastic gathering of wise women – who all “showed up for service” in true and glorious LionHearted fashion!  It was a real honour and pleasure to facilitate and guide the group alongside my dear sister and LionHearted Leadership Academy Graduate, Beth Duncan.

We loved sharing the White Lion puppets with the children at the day care centre called Sibonile.  The whole group brought a plethera of gifts and arts and crafts for the children to share and after a fabulous recital by them all we enjoyed some play time with them!  It was wonderful.  These young people, we hope will become the future generation to steward and protect nature, caring for the whole biosphere and being proud LionHearted leaders who shine with pride and purpose.  A huge thank you to all of you that helped by either knitting these lovely Lion toys or by making a regular monthly donation, it really does make a huge difference!  If you would like to make a monthly donation please do read my previous blog post which explains how you can do this simply and safely HERE

It was, as ever, such an honour to be in the presence of the South African animals – from the largest to the smallest and to be in peace with them.  I can’t describe in words how nurturing and mesmerising it always is.  I am a very lucky person.  The Lions were all doing well and yet it was hard to be there for the first time without the physical presence of Mandla, who passed over in December 2015.

On returning to the UK after this incredible two weeks, the UK office’s focus turned very sharply and keenly onto the development of the brand new LionHearted Leadership Programme for Corporates.  My background and areas of expertise all revolve around the development of leadership and a key part of my role in the UK is to establish and develop this new programme designed to support and develop corporate organisations who are ready and willing to step up and into their true LionHearts!

It is very exciting and I am loving every minute of it.  We are talking with a few interested organisations and I will let you know more as it develops further.  If you own an organisation and you think you might be interested in hearing more about this brand new exclusive and unique leadership development programme then please contact me at

On September the 18th we also had a first for the UK trust.  At Gorton Monastery, Manchester we hosted our first “Journey with the Star Lions” event and it was a ROARING success!  It was the idea of one of our amazing volunteer team, Lorraine Phillips and she and I co-facilitated the afternoon, with help, as always, from the Lions themselves!  Ann and Tash came along too to help man our lovely gift shop too – a huge roar of thanks to them too!

We have also been helping with the One United Roar campaign that has just drawn to a close with our 6 Star Lion Ambassadors announced over the weekend – who are excitedly preparing to visit White Lion Territories!  It was so wonderful to see all these young people sharing their passion and talents for the good of Lions and all nature.  Well done to everyone who made a submission and thank you for being such amazing LionHearts!

I hope you have enjoyed a lovely Summer too and are getting ready for the changes Autumn brings.  Please do let me have your comments and questions below – I love to hear from you!  Hope to see you at Om Yoga in October and sending much gratitude and love for your ongoing support and love of the White Lions.
