The next major step for the lions was a total success! Two days ago we darted and moved the two Golden Lionesses from their territory at Shidolo to the 5 acre  acclimation boma at their new territory of Mbube.

UK Zoo Exposed As Source Of Inbred White Lions To Circuses

Investigators from UK charities, Captive Animals’ Protection Society (CAPS) and Lion Aid, have today released evidence to suggest that white lions bred at West Midland Safari Park have been shipped, via a UK animal trainer, to a travelling circus in Japan. The news has been branded “a shocking betrayal of both the animals and the public” by the two investigating organisations.

It has been an extremely busy time, here at the Global White Lion Protection Trust, in facilitating the next steps for the Royal Pride and Akeru Pride. In order to simulate Nature as closely as possible, a huge operation was undertaken to relocate 4 of our White Lions involving a small team of staff and professionals: Linda  Tucker (CEO), Angela  Neumann (donor and specialist animal communicator), Jason Turner (Lion Ecologist) and the outstanding veterinarian that assists the Trust, Dr Peter Rogers and his assistant Janelle Genis.

Last weekend, the Global White Lion Protection Trust was contacted by one of the landowners from a neighboring private nature reserve in a state of distress and desperate emergency, because the mother of a white cub, born in the wilderness about 5 weeks back, was fading from malnutrition, and hadn’t suckled her little ones for 6 days.

The first time she met a rare African white lion - destined for a trophy hunter's cabinet - Linda Tucker knew she had to fight to protect them.

Sitting round the campfire in the African bush with my sister and our friends, we drank beer while we watched the burning embers shooting sparks into the starlit darkness.

My safari holiday to Timbavati, on the edge of South Africa's Kruger National Park, seemed like the perfect antidote to my frenetic life in London. Back home, I worked long hours as an account manager at an advertising agency, having recently given up my career as a model for Yardley and L'Oreal.
